I have outlined below basic breakdowns to show what I will produce for the client and the relating fees. Pricing may vary depending on the briefs requirements and the unique nature of some sites. These fees represent surveys, desktop design and material and contractor sourcing. Any construction, preparation or planting work carried out by myself on site is charged separately as a labour cost. Project management fees are worked out as a percentage of the contracting costs.
Site survey dimensions, aspect, access, existing features, existing plants/ trees, photographs, level changes, boundary heights, microclimates, views, surrounding buildings/ house (age), drainage, sun spots & shade movements though the day, general climate, boundary ownership.
Plan Detailing hard standing, planting areas and features.
Perspective drawings Showing main views though site/garden.
Material & plant samples Showing selection of plants and hard landscaping proposed.
Construction details For contractors.
Maintenance schedules Overviews of future care.
Contractors Sourcing any contractor needed i.e. tree surgery, building work.
Rates
Up to 250m2 £200 to £400
Up to 450m2 - £550
Above 450m2 £650 (may increase on larger scale projects, but projects can be split up
over periods of time to reduce financial impact).
Site survey soil samples, dimensions, existing features, aspect, microclimate etc.
Planting plan Detailing proposed plants & photographic examples.
Perspective Drawings Showing overall look, heights & textures of planting.
Maintenance schedules Overviews of future care.
Contractors Sourcing any contractor needed i.e. tree surgery.
Rates
£50 - £240
Implementation of planting plan is worked out on an hourly rate of labour.
Detailed assessment, plant lists & survey of existing features and garden needs.
Propose renovations of existing garden aspects.
Subcontracts for any tree works and hardscaping.
Implementation of proposed works.
This may also include some enhancements to existing planting schemes but not full planting plans,
which are charged for separately.
Rates
Detailed maintenance schedule £50 - £100
An hourly rate plus petrol is charged per mile to projects outside a 50-mile radius of Cambridge. £10/ hour driving and 40 pence/ mile. Petrol is charged per mile to all other distances. 40 pence/ mile.
